The Georgia National Guard Youth Program visited the Boys and Girls Club of Atlanta on April 3rd of 2023 to paint a Month of the Military Child Mural Painting. The painting, created by the Foundation of Hospital Art (Woodstock, GA), was inspired by the visions of the Youth Program team and Georgia National Guard leadership. The mural is in transit to be touched up and sealed before being dedicated and hung in a location TBD. See more photos from the awesome event below.

Click on the link here and download your free interactive packet today!The Georgia National Guard Youth Program Staff got to attend and support #MilKids from all military divisions at the 4H Military Youth Summit Extreme Camp at the Rock Eagle 4H Center in Eatonton, Georgia. Staff got to speak about the unique opportunities we offer #GuardKids as well as our awesome partnership with 4H. Military kids should check out the awesome camp opportunities 4H has to offer under the 'EVENTS' tab, by clicking on 'camps + clinics' above (look for the 4H flyer).The Georgia National Guard teamed up with the State Family Readiness Support Team to host a free Film Retreat for local military youth. #MilKids worked together to write, act, produce, direct, and edit their own short feature-film with the help of local actors and producers! The film will be featured in two segments... a promo video/commercial (included below) and a full-feature short film (coming soon!). If you want to be included in the next film activity with our Youth Team, join us at our summer film camp, which can be accessed on this site under the events tab. Contact our office/staff if you have any questions.Come join us at the Ellenwood Armory on May 7th from 10am - 2pm as we explore the world of film. Parents, this is a free event for youth participants, and drop-off/pickup is available 30 minutes post and prior to the event times. Dobbins ARB Military Resiliency Event
Georgia 4-H, Georgia National Guard Family Program, Dobbins ARB Family Support Center, and Project YES! are providing this exciting event for 8-14-year-olds military dependents to engage in healthy living lessons and skills that build their individual resiliency! Project YES! interns will be leading the interactive lessons. Participants will be supported by caring adults from each partner group and teen leaders from the Georgia National Guard State Youth Program. This event will be an in-person event at Dobbins Air Reserve Base at Verhulst Hall. Participation in the event is free and welcome all youth who are connected with Dobbins ARB so that we support the joint nature of Dobbins ARB families. Registration and Fees: FREE Registration fees are covered by the Department of the Air Force 4-H Military Partnership Program, which is supported by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, National Institute of Food and Agriculture, 4-H National Headquarters; U.S. Department of the Air Force Child and Youth Programs; and the Cooperative Extension 4-H Program through grant funding at Kansas State University. The program is also supported by Project Yes!. The grant covers refreshments, supplies, and insurance for participants. The event is open to any 8-13-year-old military dependents connected to Dobbins ARB. Civilians working on Dobbins ARB children can also attend the event.
